OUR STORY

Freedom 8:36 Ministries was born out of the personal journey of our founder, Chris Define. His path to personal freedom from bondage was something he believed not possible for him. Hopeless for over twenty years, he was broken, lost and in great suffering. Unfortunately, millions of people find themselves in a similar situation, with life-controlling issues, believing the lie they will never be able to break free.

Luke 22:32 (TPT) – “Remember this: after you have turned back to me and have been restored, make it your life mission to strengthen the faith of your brothers.”

For Chris, this is the heart for Freedom 8:36 Ministries, to use his own recovery journey, the freedom and restoration he’s found to strengthen the faith of others, to help people in bondage find freedom in Christ, and walk in the purpose God intended for them. Ultimately, the goal of Freedom 8:36 Ministries is to share the hope we have in Christ to break every chain, to free those entrapped by lies and inspire a life that honors God.

Our Mission

Freedom 8:36 Ministries offers hope to those in bondage. Testimonies of hope are shared through the use of platforms such as YouTube, social media, Apple Podcast, and Spotify. Biblically-based devotionals, and opportunities are also presented for people to get the help they need. Christian community leaders (pastors, recovery center leaders) and those who have received freedom in Christ will be interviewed so their stories can encourage and motivate others to know that freedom is possible.

Freedom 8:36 Ministries also offers free one-on-one recovery coaching and intervention services available through our website.

Christian community collaboration is emphasized by providing residential treatment referrals and financial support to families while parent/guardian is in residential treatment, relieving the burden of bills and other obligations so freedom in Christ can be the primary focus. Resources are also offered for the family members to ensure healing and restoration for the entire family.
